Met Rachael Finch yesterday. Girlfriend is actually a lot thinner in person than her photos. And to prove it I took a couple of shots of her.
Anyways, I arrived at the NSW "media launch" late and only two gorgeous girls were left talking to Rachael. She was in a bit of a rush as she had a plane to catch but was gracious enough to spend her last remaining minutes and have a chat with me. Not the most conventional of interviews, I was in the main room while she was in the prep room changing out of her cocktail dress and into a pair of jeans and singlet for her flight to Townsville.
All in all she was very warm, accomodating and made me feel very comfortable. She was very unaffected and I must say she has completely won me over.
Nothing she said sounded rehearsed, fake or pageant patty. In fact she was very genuine in her answers and you can see it in her eyes. Don't get me wrong, the girl is a pro and no doubt media trained to the hilt but I work in PR and I can smell a fake from the other side of the room and the girl is genuine.
We spoke of her experience, her motivation for joining the competition, what she thought of some of the other girls at Miss Universe, what she thought of the girls at the media call out and how she feels about having to hand over the crown.
I'll be posting a feature on her and Deborah soon so that's one to look out for. Will also post the two photos I took of Rachael....but for now, I gotta go back to Glee. LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
